Wild + Well-Fed Matcha Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, room temperature or softened
- 1¼ cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2½ cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tsp Wild + Well-Fed Matcha Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Wild + Well-Fed Salt
- ¼ - ½ cup sugar (to roll the dough in before baking)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- In the bowl of a mixer, blend together the butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, and mix until well combined
- Add the dry ingredients, one at a time, until they are all well mixed in
- Roll the dough into balls and place on a parchment paper covered baking sheet
- Bake for 11 to 12 minutes
- When you pull the cookies out of the oven, leave them on the cookie sheet for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack. This is very important or the cookies will fall apart!!
