Wild + Well-Fed Matcha Cookies


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, room temperature or softened 
  • 1¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2½ cups flour 
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tsp Wild + Well-Fed Matcha Powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon Wild + Well-Fed Salt
  • ¼ - ½ cup sugar (to roll the dough in before baking)

Instructions


  • Preheat the oven to 350°F
  • In the bowl of a mixer, blend together the butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy 
  • Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, and mix until well combined
  • Add the dry ingredients, one at a time, until they are all well mixed in
  • Roll the dough into balls and place on a parchment paper covered baking sheet 
  • Bake for 11 to 12 minutes
  • When you pull the cookies out of the oven, leave them on the cookie sheet for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack. This is very important or the cookies will fall apart!!
