Rise: Himalayan Shilajit
From Laura: “Part of the mineral trio I recommend most after reviewing hundreds of client mineral tests, for trace minerals and fulvic acid.”
Shilajit is a powerful, mineral-rich substance formed over centuries in high-altitude mountain regions through the natural breakdown of ancient plant matter. Revered for generations in Ayurvedic medicine, this unique, earth-derived substance contains fulvic acid, humic compounds, trace minerals, and naturally occurring antioxidants that support foundational cellular health.
Its bioactive compounds are being studied for their potential to support mitochondrial energy production, physical stamina, cognitive health, and healthy aging. Traditionally valued as a natural rejuvenator, shilajit offers a simple way to reconnect with nature's mineral-rich resources while supporting everyday vitality and resilience. Our Wild + Well-Fed Shilajit is carefully sourced and third-party tested for purity, bringing ancient wisdom and modern quality standards together in one simple daily supplement.
Wild + Well-Fed Shilajit is intentionally packaged in glass bottles to prevent plastic exposure and encapsulated in bovine gelatin capsules to be easy on digestion. Intentional choice in delivery of powdered form that has been encapsulated so there's no need to struggle through the smokey, earthy taste which has been a barrier to many who have tried shilajit before.
We're refreshing our labels. While we transition, you may receive our previous packaging. Same product, same formula.
The Wild + Well-Fed Advantage

Shilajit is a mineral-rich, tar-like substance that seeps from high-altitude rock, formed over centuries from decomposed plant matter and microbial activity. It is traditionally sourced from mountainous regions, most notably the Himalayas, and has long been used in Ayurveda as a rasayana, or rejuvenating substance.

Shilajit is a natural source of more than 80 trace minerals along with fulvic and humic acids, compounds that may support cellular energy, antioxidant activity and nutrient absorption. Because it forms at high elevation over long periods, it contains a unique mix of compounds traditionally used to support stamina, vitality and resilience.
- Cellular energy: fulvic-rich shilajit may support mitochondrial function and ATP production.
- Men's hormonal health: in a double-blind study of healthy men aged 45 to 55, purified shilajit (250 mg twice daily for 90 days) supported healthy total and free testosterone and DHEA-S levels. PubMed | Wiley Online Library
- Performance and recovery: early research suggests shilajit may support muscular endurance and recovery after exertion.

Yes. Each capsule contains about 70% fulvic acid and 12.5% humic acid. Fulvic acid is considered one of the main active compounds in shilajit. It is thought to help transport minerals across cell membranes and has antioxidant activity. Human research is still emerging, but fulvic acid content is a key marker of quality. PMC | News-Medical

Our shilajit is Gold grade and sourced from the Himalayan mountains of India, hand harvested, processed without chemicals and dried at low temperature. Origin and verification vary widely in the shilajit market, so we test every lot for microbials and heavy metals.
It contains no fillers or additives: no maltodextrin, no binders and nothing hidden on the label. Just pure shilajit.
We chose gelatin capsules for a reason. The smoky taste of shilajit is a deal breaker for many people (trust me, I have heard it from clients for years). Capsules are easy to digest, simple to take and give you the same measured dose every time.
We package it in amber glass bottles, never plastic. Shilajit is sticky and reactive and can soften and seep into packaging in the heat. We learned this the hard way on hiking trips with leaky containers. Glass protects its integrity.
650 mg per capsule. In my practice, 500 to 1,000 mg a day has been a comfortable range for most people, and one 650 mg capsule a day sits right in that range. If you are an athlete or under higher demands and want to take more, check with your practitioner.

Yes. Every lot is tested for heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic) and microbials (E. coli, yeast and mold). This matters: analyses show that raw or poorly processed shilajit can contain unwanted metals or microbes, and experts recommend choosing products that are lab tested. - Precision: a consistent, measured dose with no guessing, unlike resin.
- Purity: easier to verify identity and test for contaminants batch to batch.
- Practicality: no taste, portable and no mess.

We source high-altitude, traditionally hand-harvested shilajit from the Himalayan mountains of India. It is purified without chemicals and dried at low temperature to preserve its natural compounds before encapsulation. Every lot is tested for heavy metals and microbials.

Because shilajit is a wild-sourced raw material that varies a lot. Published analyses show occasional heavy metal contamination, which makes verified origin, careful purification and testing non-negotiable.

Daily use as directed is appropriate for most adults. Think of it as daily mineral support.
Some people choose to take periodic breaks (for example, 8 to 12 weeks on and 1 to 2 weeks off) to check in with how they feel. This is a practical approach rather than an evidence-based requirement. If you are pregnant or nursing, take medications or are managing a health condition, check with your healthcare provider before use.
